County Information

I have now retired from my representation of District 29 at the county. I would like to inform everyone of two things that transpired as I was leaving. First there is now a Marathon County Newsletter. It will be published quarterly. You may find it on the Marathon County website and if you wish you can sign up to receive it via email as it comes out. It is an attempt to let the public know what is going on. To date, there are two issues: A winter and a spring edition. Check them out.

The second is also a newsletter published by conservation, planning and zoning. To get a copy, go to the Marathon Co website, then to the zoning department, and click on the “ contact us” icon and request an electronic version. At this point I can’t find it on line, but it is new. I suspect they will get that information out there soon.

I enjoyed my time representing District 29, and learned a lot .

Parting Words....

A message from Catherine Wineman, District 29

For those of you interested in any particular topic at the county level, it is possible to find that information on the county website. It does take some digging, but the information is there if you are willing to search for it. Also, all the county board meetings are video taped now, so they can be watched, to see what the discussion was. FYI, the Thursday meeting is the informational meeting, and the Tuesday meeting is when we vote. But for really contentious issues there will be discussions at both meetings.

To find the videos of the meetings, you will have to do a search for videos of meetings, and then go to the video icon and pick out the meeting you want to watch. I found it a bit cumbersome to find stuff there, but if there is some issue you are interested in, you are free to call me. I get information on everything. My phone number is 715-687-4741.
